Vocational Education and Training (VET)  institutions may apply for mobility activities through the European Credit System for Vocational Education & Training (ECVET). A condition for using ECVET is participating in an ECVET partnership binding organisations involved in:  identification of satisfactory learning results during mobility activities; providing VET programmes suitable to the required needs; learning results assessment; validation and recognition of trainee credits upon their return to the respective institutions in their home countries.  Teams of national experts promote the adoption, application and use of ECVET in Programme countries and advise competent teaching and professional training institutions. Learn more >

The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is the largest student association in Europe. It was created in 1989 and registered in 1990 to support and develop student exchange. NARIC (National Academic Recognition Information Centre) is the national centre devoted to addressing issues related to academic recognition of foreign degrees and diplomas in higher education.

The NA took an important step in creating an internal working group (WG) aiming at addressing issues of inclusion. It seeks to boost the participation of learners and education professionals who face obstacles to participate in the Erasmus+ Programme.
This WG organizes an annual event designed not only to celebrate the International Day of People with Disabilities (held on November 30, when this date falls on a week day), but also to promote the Erasmus+ Programme. The aim is to raise awareness for training opportunities addressed to professionals in education and training, and to provide information about institutions related to special needs in Europe; it also deals with relevant issues that inspire not only the fight against exclusion, but also the creation of projects, either for professional mobility or transnational partnerships.

In a Europe standing up to the growth of inequality and the threat of violent radicalization, it is essential to bring to the forefront common European values, such as democracy, solidarity and respect for human rights. This initiative stresses social inclusion, international understanding and critical thinking.  Presenting inspirational models that help integrate common daily life values that can help Europe build prosperous, tolerant and inclusive societies.
The European Commission created a network supported by Erasmus+ Programme that allows local actors to invite inspirational people to share their experiences with young people and inspire them to overcome real-life difficulties. 
Erasmus+ NAs are implementing these initiatives themselves or in cooperation with local partners. In Portugal, the NA has opted to partners called on from five regions (North, Centre, Lisbon and the Tagus Valley, the Algarve and the autonomous region of Madeira). Municipalities play a fundamental role in implementing this initiative through inspirational models (Role Models) selected to address diverse socio-educational issues and by carrying out activities along one year. It includes detailed descriptions and general perspectives of national education systems, comparative thematic reports, indicators and statistics and a variety of facts and figures on education, such as national educational structures, school calendars, teacher salary comparisons and required teaching periods in the various countries and levels of education. The European network of national information and resource centres, whose aim is to promote European educational and professional training and provide information about lifelong learning and mobility for learning purposes, is designed for vocational guidance experts and decision makers in both the educational and the employment sectors in European countries. The European Language Label is awarded to local, regional, and national projects that have found creative ways to improve the quality of language teaching, motivate learners, make the best use of available resources to diversify the languages on offer, and other innovative initiatives.
The European Language Label is granted to inspiring initiatives encouraging learning languages as part of the shared European goal to enable citizens to communicate in two languages other than their mother tongue.
Every year or every two years, a number of innovative projects have been awarded this Label across Europe. The Label covers all levels of education, and addresses everyone and all sectors. All languages, including sign languages, are eligible. Learn more >
