25 de Outubro: Dia Europeu da Justiça

On the occasion of the European Day of Justice on 25 October 2017, an interview of Stéphane Leyenberger, Secretary of the European Commission for the efficiency of the justice (CEPEJ), will be broadcasted live by the Council of Europe on Facebook as from 12:00. This year, local, national and international events will take place in 20 member states of the Organisation. As a reminder, this day aims to bring justice closer to citizens, to inform them about their rights and promote the work of the Council of Europe and the European Commission in the field of justice through simulation of procedures and information sessions. It is aimed at European citizens, students and people who work in the field of justice. In France, for example, the Notaries of France plan to hold a live information session on Facebook for an audience of expats. In Bosnia and Herzegovina, courts will open their doors to citizens, people who work in the field of justice and students. Representatives of the Council of Europe will celebrate the European Day of Justice on the occasion of the Crystal Scales of Justice Prize awarding ceremony which will be held at the Judicial Institute of Scotland (United Kingdom) on 27 October 217. The list of events organised in Europe can be consulted on the CEPEJ website.
