Objectives
In the context of the Erasmus+ Programme, the following meanings apply:

Adult Education: all forms of non-vocational adult education, whether of a formal, non-formal or informal nature.

Adult Learner: any person who has completed his or is no longer in initial education or training, and returns to any type of ongoing learning, with the exception of School and VET teachers/trainers.
Adult Education, through formal, informal or non-formal adult education institutions, participate in European projects with mobility and transnational cooperation activities.
SKILLS
To promote the improvement of basic literacy, mathematical and digital literacy skills, linguistic skills, and entrepreneurship among adults.
FACILITING TRANSITION
To facilitate the transition between formal education, non-formal education, professional training and work.
ADULT PARTICIPATION
To facilitate access to adult learning services, validation of non-formal and informal learning, and professional and educational guidance.
OPPORTUNITIES
To improve upon and expand high-quality educational opportunities adjusted to the needs of different adult learners.
INNOVATION
To foster innovative practices that boost adult participation in training activities.
QUALIFICATION
To develop the abilities of adult educators to work with diverse groups of people and make use of new technologies.
Key-Action 1: Mobility
Mobility projects for learning purposes for adult education staff that may include the following types of activities abroad:

Teaching/training assignments in partner organisations.

Participation in structured courses or training events.

Job shadowing in any relevant organisation that is active in adult education field.
Adult education staff at an organisation or at organisations belonging to a consortium.

Applicants
Public or private organisations involved in the area of adult education. Organisations may apply as sending organisations or as coordinators of a national consortium of adult education organisations. Applications are institutional and individuals may not apply individually.
Key-Action 2: Strategic Partnerships
The aim of a strategic partnership is to develop initiatives in one or more areas of education and training.
They involve at least three organisations from three Programme countries; they allow participating organisations to gain experience in international cooperation, strengthen their capacities, and/or produce tangible, innovative, high-quality results with an individual and institutional impact.

Types of Partnerships
Adult learners and all stakeholders and agents involved in educational activity in the field of Adult Education.
Mobility for training activities:

adult learners in blended mobility;

staff on teaching or training assignments;

staff in joint training events.
Participants
Organisations linked to adult education; organisations involved in any area of education and training; organisations that carry out transversal activities in different areas (for example, companies, chambers of commerce, NGOs); any organization established in a Programme country. Organisations in partner countries may participate in a strategic partnership as partners (but not as applicants) as long as this participation adds value to the project.
