Objectives
In the context of the Erasmus+ Programme, the following meanings apply to:

Education and Professional Training: aims to provide people with knowledge, expertise, skills and/or the aptitudes needed by specific professions or by the labour market; this can apply to initial or ongoing learning.

Trainees: learners in this area.
Vocational Education and Training make a clear contribution to the motivation and performance of young trainees.
EMPOYABILITY
To facilitate personal development and employability through solid partnerships between education and the labour market.
MOBILITY
To strengthen the appeal of education and professional training through the mobility of trainees and staff.
QUALIFICATIONS
To support education and learning stakeholders through training and/or professional development actions in the acquisition and use of knowledge, skills and qualifications in the workplace.
THE LABOUR MARKET
To adjust the relevance of Vocational Education and Training (VET) to the labour market needs.
SKILLS
To adjust the relevance of skills and reduce the shortage of man power in all economic sectors by adapting curricula and profiles of acquired qualifications and by establishing stable partnerships among EPT providers and economic agents, including social partners, development agencies, innovation systems entities and chambers of commerce, and related sectors.
TRANSPARENCY
To increase transparency and mutual trust among EPT systems through coherent streamlining and implementation at national level of the recommendations of the “European Credit System for Vocational Education” (ECVET) and the “European Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training” (EQAVET).
INCLUSION
To support permanent, career-orientated, easy-access education and professional training to include people less likely to participate in these learning activities.
TRAINERS
To promote and develop the capacities and skills of teachers and trainers, with special emphasis on workplace training, the creation of partnerships between teachers in schools and trainers in companies, as well as in-company training of trainers.
Key-Action 1: Mobility
Mobility projects for learning purposes by trainees and staff of ETP organisations include the following types of activities:

Traineeships for EPT trainees at professional training institutions or at companies abroad;

Traineeships for recent graduates (up to 12 months after graduation);

Teaching or training assignments abroad;

Training of VET staff abroad in

workbased experience;

tracking/observation at the workplace (job shadowing) at a company or another EPT organisation.

Key-Action 2: Strategic Partnerships
Strategic partnerships for the exchange of good practices among training institutions and/or entities linked to the labour world; strategic partnerships promoting innovation in educational/training institutions.
A strategic partnership is transnational, devoted to develop initiatives in one or more areas of education and training; it involves at least three organisations from three Programme countries; it allows participating organisations to gain experience in international cooperation and strengthen their capacities, and/or produce tangible, innovative, high-quality results with individual and institutional impact.

A public or private organization, active in any field of education and training, or that is linked to the labour world; organisations that execute transversal activities in different areas (for example, companies, Chambers of Commerce, NGOs); any organisation established in a Programme country; organisations in partner countries can participate as partners (but not as applicants), as long as this participation adds value to the project.
